Wandering around in the dark is much easier for you or a guest by the soft glow of a night light. Likewise, the glow of a  soft light is perfect for creating a calm or romantic mood for quiet meditation or intimate moments. These lights provide just that, with elegance.  They are truly functional decor, but are so through a uniquely repurposed vintage insulator that once sat atop a utility pole that carried electricity, phone lines, and telegraph lines.  These insulators can date back as far as the mid-1800's when the utility lines ran alongside rail road tracks. They were in use well into the mid-1900's when they were gradually phased out by the 1970's in favor of modern telecommunications. Remnants of these utility lines and their glass insulators can still be found in many places along old railways. The insulator glass is beautifully molded into a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors with clear and aqua colored glass being the most common.

The base of the light was milled to allow the insulator to nest loosely in place so it can be easily lifted off to access the socket for bulb replacement as needed. It features a 6 foot long lamp cord with an inline switch.
